The first impression I want to leave with all readers of this blog is why Upside Down was written and why every citizen of Planet Earth should read and understand it.
Regardless of what liberals and progressives will say, the truth contained within Upside Down is timeless—there is no expiration date on the truth. The subtitle of the book is “Freedom Cannot Exist in the Absence of Truth” because truth and freedom go hand-in-hand; one cannot exist without the other. The primary goal of Upside Down is to preserve our free and independent United States of America while avoiding the totalitarian “utopia” described in George Orwell’s epic 1984, where truth becomes whatever our self-serving and self-perpetuating Big Brother government/media consortium wants us all to believe. The “truth” is that our power-mad Big Government/Big Media wants us to believe whatever it is that helps them retain and expand their God-like power over our lives that they should have never had in the first place.
At some point it should become obvious that all advocates for and participants in our highly compensated Big Government/Big Media consortium hate the fact that We the People have a Constitution that limits the power We the People should never have allowed them to grab which our current elite political ruling class wants to make absolute. One timeless truth is anyone who lusts after power should never have access to the power they crave because they will always abuse power in their pursuit of the absolute corruption that absolute power always enables!
Another timeless truth is as We the People sit idly by as our government becomes bigger and more powerful (while also sucking the life out of our economy and killing middle class jobs) We the People become smaller and more helpless. Another truth is any government big and powerful enough to give us everything we think we want and need is big enough to take away everything we have! The end game here is if We the People don’t stop Big Government creep, we choose slavery over freedom not just for ourselves, but also for our children and grandchildren.
There is no easy way to say this other than today, We the People are perilously close to living the nightmare that is Orwell’s 1984.
Upside Down was written as a wakeup call so We the People could first understand how our collective complacency has led us to the edge of the abyss where truth cannot be found—where freedom does not exist. Today we are all teetering at the edge of the truth-less abyss as evidenced by the current surreal omnipresent government/media propaganda machine obsessed with “covering” nation-killing politics 24/7/365. Think about what our highly paid, oversaturated media would talk about if politics were off limits. Wouldn’t most of our 24/7/365 “news” channels simply go off the air? Wouldn’t that be a good thing for all of us?
After defining our national problem, Upside Down presents very simple solutions that We the people must demand from every elected and appointed public servant so we can avoid all of the horrors that should automatically come to mind under the scenario wherein We the People are enslaved within the figurative or literal United States of China.
