There are good reasons why in 2016 We the People are revolting against what has become our elite political ruling class. Unbiased Millennials and members of Generation X see through the political pandering and charades our elites use to buy their votes, promising even more Big Government give-aways in the face of $19.5 trillion in nation-killing debt. Discontent with both “parties” is born out of demonstrations that our untouchable political elites are above the law under which We the people are held accountable. Discontent stems from the fact that even though it is never acceptable for our government to lie to us, lies from Washington, D.C. have become the norm. People across the nation are beginning to grasp the painful truth that the lies and deceit from our own government are largely aimed at maintaining and expanding power our self-serving political elites never should have had in the first place. With nation-killing debt piling up twice as fast as under Bush/Cheney, We the People are beginning to understand that there is no quicker path to absolute power that always results in absolute corruption than through unlimited funding. It is no coincidence that there has been no annual budget passed by Congress during the current administration’s two terms.
People are beginning to wonder why we only ever get to choose between what we perceive as the lesser of two evils. The origin of this dilemma is that today, within our formerly “United” States, we only ever get to choose between two self-serving “career politicians”, which from life experience can be defined as:
“A person employed by some level of government whose salary is paid with taxes, credit from China, or dollars printed out of thin air who dispenses a mix of partial truth and blatant lies told with the intent to deceive his or her constituents for the purpose of advancing otherwise unpopular agendas, the retention of power, or both.”
So a “career politician” is someone who lies for a living—and the practice of politics is the practice of dispensing lies and deceit, using our tax dollars to do so. Sometimes “career politicians” break the law resulting in desperate measures to ensure their re-election not with the intent to serve We the People but to retain power necessary to escape accountability for past “high crimes and misdemeanors”. Since our constitution was written to keep We the People free and freedom cannot exist in the absence of truth, politics is by its very nature unconstitutional, and so a “career politician” is really just a professional liar and life-long assassin of constitutional government.
There is good reason for the distrust of our elitist two “party” system which has resulted in 43 percent of all voters being “independent”1,2 and are looking for anyone outside the sphere of professional politicians who they believe might actually serve We the People and not themselves at our expense.
The bottom line is the majority of “career politicians”, both Republican and Democrat, are destructive to the sovereignty of our formerly United States, although in vastly different ways. This causes We the People to have to constantly choose between what we perceive as the lesser of two evils as our elites keep us dazed, confused, divided, and conquered, so they retain and expand power they never should have had. Both sides hate each other and refuse to work together, resulting in the abysmal 15 percent congressional approval rating. (Why should We the People re-elect any incumbent/elite who is a member of a government body with a 15 percent approval rating? Having Congress on permanent recess is preferable to that!)
So we come full circle back to the fact that both sides have one common goal, and that is to get re-elected and become the “career politicians” that are the antithesis of the intent of our Founding Fathers. Both sides have something to hide, so Republicans don’t ever talk about “Chinagate” so Democrats remain silent about 9/11.
That is government operating in spite of the people, upside down from government of, by, and for the people.
Since the pendulum remains in motion as it swings back and forth from Republican to Democrat and back again while both parties constantly find new ways to erode our freedoms and liberties it is very safe to say our two “party” system is completely and utterly broken.
In this critical election year, We the People are not saddled with having to choose between the lesser of two evils. We have to choose between the queen of all “career politicians” who has taken the art of lying to stratospheric levels, and an outsider who might just be the second coming of Ronald Reagan. Whoever you vote for, choose carefully—our freedoms and liberties hang in the balance!
